Biography

Rocío Guerrero joined Michavila Acebes Abogados in July 2026 to lead the Labor Law Department, bringing a strong background in Labor and Social Security Law, as well as extensive experience in strategic consulting and labor litigation.

She specializes in strategic legal-labor advice for companies, complex labor litigation, collective labor relations, labor compliance, equality, diversity, occupational risk prevention, and specialized training for executives, Human Resources departments, and their staff.
‍

Before joining the firm, she developed her professional career as a Manager in the Labor Law Department at Ceca Magán Abogados. Previously, she was part of the labor law teams at RSM and Auren, where she advised national and international companies on all types of labor and Social Security matters.
‍

Since the beginning of her professional career, she has combined legal practice with intense academic and research activity, having entered the professional market in the field of Labor Law in 2012.
‍

Her professional practice focuses on comprehensive legal-labor advice for companies from a preventive and strategic perspective, supporting organizations in decision-making that impacts people management, labor relations, and business legal security.
‍

She has solid experience in legal counsel and defense for complex labor litigation, acting in proceedings of particular relevance and impact for organizations. Her work includes both courtroom representation and defense, as well as the design of procedural strategies aligned with business objectives.
‍

She also has extensive experience in:

  • Drafting specialized legal-labor reports across the various areas of Labor and Social Security Law.
  • Designing, implementing, and supervising Labor and Social Compliance programs focused on the identification, prevention, and management of labor risks.
  • Developing protocols and internal policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices in the field of labor relations.
  • Legal representation and assistance before the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate, including inspections, requirements, sanctioning files, and related proceedings regarding labor, Social Security, and occupational health and safety matters.
  • Specialized advice on Occupational Risk Prevention, holding a Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention in all three preventive specialties (Work Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology), which allows her to offer comprehensive advice on occupational health and safety.
  • Development, research, and management of Harassment Prevention and Action Protocols, as well as advisory services for related internal procedures.
  • Collective bargaining, with extensive experience in negotiating and implementing Equality Plans, temporary and permanent layoff procedures (ERTE/ERE), collective bargaining agreements, and other corporate reorganization and flexibility measures.
  • High level of specialization in equality, diversity, and inclusion, advising organizations on regulatory compliance and the development of strategies aligned with ESG criteria, corporate culture, and talent management.
  • Design and delivery of specialized training for executives, Human Resources departments, and employees regarding labor law, Social Security, and the prevention of
  • occupational risks, equality, diversity, and inclusion, promoting safe, inclusive work environments aligned with regulatory compliance.

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, Nebrija University (2018-2019), with certification in the three preventive specialties: Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.
  • Master’s Degree for Admission to the Bar, specializing in Labor Law, Rey Juan Carlos University (2016-2018).
  • Double Degree in Law and Labor Relations and Human Resources, Rey Juan Carlos University (2011-2016), graduating at the top of the class.

  • She balances her legal practice with extensive teaching and research activities in the field of Labor and Social Security Law.
  • Professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the Distance University of Madrid (UDIMA) and the Center for Financial Studies (CEF) since 2022.
  • Researcher and professor in the Department of Labor and Social Security Law at Rey Juan Carlos University between 2017 and 2020.
  • Director of various seminars, workshops, and conferences specializing in labor matters, collective bargaining, equality, and people management; regular speaker at conferences, professional associations, and leading academic forums on Labor Law and Human Resources.
